Companion Animal Health® Expands Product Line
Introducing Companion Regenerative Therapies™

NEWARK, DE – August 25, 2015 – Companion Animal Health is proud to announce that in alignment with their commitment to providing advanced laser therapy and rehabilitation solutions to the veterinary market, Companion is now the exclusive world-wide distributor of EmCyte’s Canine PurePRP® and BMC stem cell products.  In the beginning of 2015 Companion Animal Health® celebrated expansion into the animal health market with the addition of the Stance Analyzer™ and Underwater Treadmill products in addition to their successful line of therapeutic lasers.  The addition of regenerative medicine is in alignment with the goals of Companion Animal Health as a growing veterinary health and wellness company.

This week Companion unveiled the new Companion Regenerative Therapy (CRT™) system at the CVC Conference in Kansas City, MO.  This regenerative therapy product compliments the goals of Companion Animal Health in providing innovative, safe, and effective technology to provide leading-edge standard of care for the veterinary market.  As with laser therapy, PRP and BMC stem cell therapies enable veterinarians to reduce pain and inflammation and speed the healing process for dogs suffering from a variety of conditions including osteoarthritis.

The CRT system is a comprehensive, point of care tool for the safe and efficient collection, preparation, and delivery of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and BMC stem cell therapy for dogs.  CRT technology has been clinically validated for dogs and has yielded consistent clinical outcomes for numerous indications including osteoarthritis and soft tissue injuries.  This advanced therapy has been widely available in the human sports medicine and equine markets for many years, only recently with the advent of canine-specific systems, has this technology begun to take hold in small animal medicine.

Brian Pryor, PhD, CEO of Companion Animal Health commented, “Companion is committed to bringing innovative technology to the veterinary market palce and we are excited about the addition of PRP and BMC stem cell therapies to our product line.  PRP and BMC stem cell therapies are the future of veterinary medicine with their ability to provide minimally invasive solutions to debilitating canine conditions.  The addition of these products shows our commitment as a company to continue to innovate and find new ways to help animals get better faster.”  John Mercurio, the Director of New Business Development at Companion Animal Health also noted, “We feel that this addition of this product line to our Companion family of products only further highlights our commitment to helping veterinary patients in safe and effective ways, while remaining committed to continued research in our technologies and helping veterinarians provide state of the art solutions for their patients”.

As with all Companion products, the CRT systems will adhere to strict quality control guidelines and will be supported by Companion’s industry-leading customer support team.  Companion is excited to welcome current CRT customers to the Companion family and looks forward to providing advanced education and training opportunities for existing PurePRP® and BMC stem cell users and veterinarians interested in adding a regenerative medicine program to their practices.
