Hydrotherapy has become a versatile modality in rehabilitation therapy protocols in veterinary and human medicine. Used to improve range of motion, proprioception, and strength, as well as to enhance neuro-motor control and weight loss, hydrotherapy can be tailored to fit each patient. Research in both human and veterinary medicine supporting the use of hydrotherapy for rehabilitation will be discussed, as well as the mechanisms of action of hydrotherapy and potential use in the clinical management of canine and feline patients.
Please join Dr. Evelyn Orenbuch, DVM, DACVSMR, CAVCA, owner and head veterinarian at Georgia Veterinary Rehabilitation, Fitness and Pain Management and Dr. Lisa Miller, DVM, CCRT, Veterinary Medical Director for Companion Animal Health for this educational webinar.
