Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used for many years in human medicine with astounding results. Many of today’s top athletes, including Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant, have been treated with PRP for various sports related injuries. PRP has now made its way into the veterinary space and is providing an alternative therapy to thousands of animals. PRP utilizes the platelet’s growth factors which are proteins that promote tissue healing and regeneration in acute and chronic conditions. Some of these conditions include osteoarthritis, tendon and ligament injuries and certain spinal conditions. In this webinar, Sherman Canapp, DVM, will provide insight into the science behind PRP and how it can be used in the veterinary clinic.

Talking Points:
- Introduction to PRP
- What conditions are typically treated with PRP
- When is PRP considered for therapy?
- PRP in the clinic
- What has it been used for?
- How is it processed?
- What is the typical response to PRP therapy?
- PRP isolation systems
