K-9 Case Summary: Trooper Porter

Dr. Canapp shares the recovery story of Trooper Porter, a K-9 officer who was injured in the line of duty.  After using an advanced treatment combination of PRP and stem cells, along with a custom orthotic, Dr. Canapp reports that Trooper Porter recovered remarkably well and was able to return to duty (exactly one year following his initial injury).

Dr. Sherman Canapp completed his graduate work at Johns Hopkins University in biochemistry with a research emphasis in surgical and pharmaceutical research. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and charter diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, of which he was past president. Dr. Canapp is certified in canine rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and has extensive experience in developing and testing orthopedic and arthroscopic devices, implants, and systems, as well as validating and testing regenerative medicine systems and protocols.
