Evelyn Orenbuch, DVM, DACVSMR, CAVCA
Dr. Evelyn Orenbuch leads the veterinary staff at GA Veterinary Rehabilitation, Fitness & Pain Management. Dr. Orenbuch is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a DACVSMR and a member of the first board of directors and former president of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, she is a leader in the field of veterinary rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Orenbuch has helped set the standard for what veterinary rehabilitation medicine should be.
Dr. Orenbuch graduated from the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Since 2003, she has solely focused on veterinary rehabilitation and pain management, completing additional specialized coursework and certificates in veterinary chiropractic (CAVCA) and veterinary acupuncture (IVAS). She has extensive training on many other rehabilitation techniques.
Dr. Orenbuch has overseen thousands of rehabilitation cases, prescribing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for dogs, cats, horses, and small animals. She has treated patients ranging from world-class performance athletes to senior pets. Dr. Orenbuch takes great satisfaction in working intensively with each client and patient and seeing the patient improve under her care.
Dr. Orenbuch is a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the American Canine Sports Medicine Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Cobb County Veterinary Medical Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Orenbuch enjoys the outdoors, has earned world championship medals in the sport of dragon boat racing and has volunteered her veterinary skills with both the Remote Area Veterinary Services of the Humane Society of the US in Guatemala, Mexico, Ethiopia, and several Native American reservations and with Heifer Project International in Thailand. She shares her life with her husband, Stuart, a professor at Kennesaw State University, Pia, their mixed breed rescue dog and Chuck, their orange tabby cat.
